Public Art

2008

The Mongolian Scarf Project: a self-initiated international art project between Irish & Mongolian children involving a cultural exchange between both communities. The project was featured on Nationwide, RTE 1 (6th June 2008 – Mayo to Mongolia) and by interview on Raidio Na Gaeltachta. It was also covered by The Mayo News, The Connaught Tribune, The Western People and The Leitrim Post. The project involved approx. 600 children and €10,000 was raised to fund the drilling of a well and the installation of a purification system to make the water in the Gobi Desert safe to drink.
